Precaria (Black Metal)

 
1) Ciao e benvenuto! Presentati!

Grazie per avermi contattato, Lunaria, io sono la mente principale dietro al progetto Precaria, per cui uso lo pseudonimo Hermit Ov Tehom.


2) è un monicker incantevole "Precaria" ... In inglese significa "precarietà"; Perché lo avete scelto? In italiano chiamiamo  "Precaria" qualcosa che non è sicuro. Il lavoro, per esempio, è "precario". Anche la vita è precaria...

Il nome è stato scelto con un significato simbolico. In spagnolo (la lingua originarialmente utilizzata) si riferisce al grado più povero di vita, la miseria semplice, il più basso livello delle condizioni di vita con tutto ciò che comporta nella povertà, e privo di ciò che è necessario per vivere, fino alla violenza costante per la lotta a prevalere... Questo significato letterale, molto crudo, mi ha ispirato per rappresentare la parola Precaria come l'esatto equivalente sul regno spirituale, simile alla discesa forzata verso le profondità più oscure dell'Io come mezzo per sradicare la propria 'umanità' in modo da essere in grado di salire al vero sé.

3) Prima di parlare del full-length "Precaria Ex Humanitas", puoi parlarci della biografia del vostro progetto? Primi passi e demo e così via...

La band, come concetto, è stato concepito molto tempo fa, le canzoni e le copertine del solo demo sono state fatte nel 2004, ma non è stato possibile rilasciarlo, il batterista non era molto disponibile e poi ha semplicemente abbandonato il progetto, così anche noi non siamo mai riusciti a registrare o suonare dal vivo. C'è stato un periodo di attività pari allo zero, in cui ho organizzato meglio l'idea della band, ci sono stati diversi progetti nel frattempo, però. Uno di essi è stato un progetto personale chiamato Desesperanza, ma c'era sempre lo stesso problema: nessun batterista che ha voluto prendere questo progetto sul serio.
Nel 2010 ho incontrato Opposus Discordia che mostrò subito interesse verso il progetto Precaria, e così abbiamo iniziato un'attività ufficiale, sia dal vivo che in studio, registrando subito le canzoni demo e iniziando la produzione del full-length. Il vecchio demo è stato rilasciato nel 2013 (ha lo stesso vecchio artwork che avevo pensato all'inizio) e quasi subito, si sono uniti due membri (anche per desiderio volontario) alla band, ma potrebbero essere considerato solo come membri per i live, perché non hanno mai registrato in studio né composto per la band. C'è ancora materiale in fase di registrazione, ma ci vorrà il tempo necessario per essere portato alla luce, nell' essere consegnato nelle condizioni ottimali che ho in mente (musicalmente, visivamente e nella produzione).


4) Suonate un Black Metal pieno di odio e rabbia. Puoi parlarci meglio di "Precaria Ex Humanitas"? Mi piace molto la copertina. Quegli impiccati in quel tempio antico, con quel rosso profondo come sfondo... è davvero angosciante, desolante. Se guardo questa immagine, penso anche alla "Morte Rossa". Ci si sente come in uno scenario colpito dalla peste.

"Precaria Ex Humanitas" è un concept, le canzoni di questo album rappresentano una grande varietà di cose che sono state scritte nel corso degli anni, il tono lirico è davvero legato all'odio, attacca direttamente le fondamenta dell'umanità e la mentalità del gregge, la mentalità da pecora, attacca il sentiero di destra imposto e le religioni organizzate; ha anche una canzone che parla dal punto di vista di un criminale, sull'essere costretti a commettere atrocità a causa del modo povero e limitato di vivere in campagna, tutto causato dal sistema corrotto. Si tocca anche la necessità morbosa di soffrire e di far soffrire, e la caduta nella totale follia mentale.
L'ultimo pezzo è una preghiera per la dannazione dell'umanità e la loro eventuale condanna alla miseria. I testi sono intrisi di una sostanza che è più simile a un veleno mortale, e musicalmente sono meticolosamente disposti a portare un senso di oppressione per l'utente (l'ascoltatore).
Per quanto riguarda la grafica, avevo bisogno di lavorare con qualcuno che avesse la capacità di rappresentare l'idea corretta in una forma che ben si adattasse al contenuto dell'opera, e così costoso come era, Antithesis218 di Cold Posion ha fatto il lavoro, e che ottimo lavoro... l'ho contattato alla metà o all'inizio del 2013, tuttavia, siccome la produzione mi ha lasciato praticamente in bancarotta, è stato a novembre o dicembre, che abbiamo iniziato a lavorare pienamente all'opera, lui mi inviava periodicamente le idee e sono stato molto contento di vedere quanto progettava bene l'idea, non c'era molto da correggere, e il risultato finale sembra essere una di quelle opere d'arte che, se lo vedi, non puoi dimenticarle. Mi piacerebbe sicuramente lavorare di nuovo con lui, è molto professionale e dotato, ed è dopo aver lavorato con band come Nightbringer e Acherontas, che si sta guadagnando un nome d'artista grafico ben noto tra le band. Concettualmente la copertina visiva anteriore rappresenta la distruzione della chiesa e l'impiccagione dei suoi credenti, che denota una chiara avversione nei loro confronti. Nel retro del libretto e nella parte posteriore della custodia, è possibile vedere chiari riferimenti al culto della morte. La morte è l'unica via...


5) Ho visto il vostro profilo facebook. Chiami dio "il Demiurgo". Mi piacerebbe saperne di più sulle tue idee religiose e filosofiche. Comunque, io sono totalmente d'accordo con te nell'odiare la chiesa!

Sì, il demiurgo è il falso dio, il creatore del nostro piano fisico/ materiale, la luce falsa e ingannevole ... Tuttavia, ci si potrebbe chiedere perché sono contro le religioni anche teistiche. All'inizio ero un ateo con un punto di vista molto nichilista, non lo nascondo, ma alcune cose che mi sono capitate hanno cominciato a svelare lentamente ciò che sta 'al di là del velo'.
Non vedo questa 'falsa luce' come il dio cristiano, - cioè farebbe di me un cristiano -, né come il dio musulmano, o un qualsiasi altro dio in particolare, credo che tutte queste religioni esprimano lo stesso concetto a prescindere dal nome con cui chiamano dio, e che adorano questo falso dio che si nasconde dietro una creazione piena di menzogne. è lui quello a cui io dichiaro la mia avversione e tutta la mia esistenza è come una guerra contro questa creazione irregolare, mentre sto rinchiuso in questa gabbia di carne (corpo), che alcuni chiamano 'tempio'; il tempio reale è nella tua mente. Siamo fatti a 'sua' immagine, quindi siamo un'aberrazione. Siamo pieni di debolezze. Se fossimo stati creati da un 'dio perfetto', saremmo perfetti: invece siamo uno con il caos.
Alcuni di noi non sono del tutto umani (all'interno), per quanto  mi riguarda, io sono solo un virus piantato in un mondo di alieni. Perché il virus? Perché io sono l'agente di cambiamento, quella particella infinitesimale che provoca il processo di 'nigredo' con il veleno di Samael; coloro che hanno raggiunto la corretta comprensione sapranno cosa simboleggia. Perché gli alieni? Perché sono una razza completamente diversa e sconosciuta, non condividiamo nulla a parte i nostri corpi umani che sono transitori. Alcuni sono destinati ad essere pecore, pochi non lo sono. E questa minoranza deve lasciare un segno in questo mondo, e prepararsi per quello che viene dopo, questa è la cosiddetta lotta per scendere nelle profondità della uno e usare la nostra vita per prepararsi, per ascendere e trascendere. Mi comporto come un'arma contro il cosmo e tutto ciò che essa esercita e rappresenta. Potete immaginare il mio modo di vivere ... mi trovo in completo isolamento e tutto è stato dannatamente difficile, e non mi aspetto che non lo sia, se non per diventare ancora più difficile. Questo è quello che succede per i pochi che scelgono di forgiare il proprio percorso nero, è per questo che nessuno lo fa. Questo probabilmente spiega perché ho scelto la prima parola del mio pseudonimo ... Potrei scrivere un lungo testo che descrive tutti i miei punti di vista e le loro motivazioni, ma diventerebbe una lettura faticosa per questa intervista... Almeno, ora avete qualche indizio circa la profonda filosofia spirituale che circonda Precaria.

6) Avete già suonato dal vivo... puoi parlare di questa esperienza?

In un primo momento e per 3 anni abbiamo suonato come duo, ora abbiamo un po' di tempo per suonare come una completa band dal vivo. Incanaliamo le energie oscure nello scenario, per proiettare un'atmosfera molto inquietante. Il pubblico spesso reagisce in modo diverso nei confronti dei Precaria, alcuni di loro vogliono solo essere head-banging, del tipo old school, ma trovano troppo angosciante il nostro modo di suonare, poi ci sono quelli contemplativi che prestano attenzione alla musica e ciò che esprime e fanno headbanging sulle parti ritmiche, ma soprattutto sentono l'essenza che viene trasmessa e si divertono al blast-beating violento.
Abbiamo passato diverse esperienze, come un'occasione con meno di 15 persone presenti al concerto o organizzatori scadenti che hanno scambiato la partecipazione della nostra band per la band dei loro "amici". Sì, questo è quello che ottieni da loro. A volte sembra che la scena locale diventi il tuo nemico, anche se le persone vogliono vedere la tua band, qui c'è un sacco di egoismo che attraversa l'aria.
Abbiamo aperto per alcuni gruppi famosi che sono venuti qui qualche volta, ricordo che uno dei membri di una banda che ha come nome una parola di 2 parole (la prima inizia con 'N' e la seconda parola con 'D') era in piedi davanti di me come una statua quando mi esibivo, poco prima che suonassero, ero confuso, perché sembrava non credere a quello che stava succedendo e ha avuto un "cosa diamine sta accadendo" stampato sulla faccia, forse i ragazzi non si esibiscono troppo spesso con bands che hanno questa essenza o vedeva il diavolo dietro la schiena, ahaha, non lo so... per chiudere questa risposta devo dire che suono dal vivo non solo per il gusto di farlo, ma anche per svolgere un rituale per incanalare la forza anti-cosmica che emana dalla nostra manifestazione e gettarla sul piano terrestre.

 
7) Può suggerirci alcuni nomi di band Black Metal dal Messico o del Sud America? è bello supportare le band!

Dal Messico posso caldamente suggerire Andramelech, più conosciuti come "Daemon Worship" per aver rilasciato uno split con Serpent Noir e sono sicuro che il materiale successivo che verrà fuori sarà eccezionale. Dal Sud America posso consigliare Ignis Haereticum, Gexerott, Animus Mortis, Selbst, LvxCælis, e Wrathprayer. Hanno rilasciato materiale di ottima qualità che merita il giusto riconoscimento.

8) Concludi la nostra intervista. Spero che tu possa suonare qui in Italia, un giorno!

Grazie, vedrai che un giorno Precaria suonerà anche lì, quando la band crescerà di più. Per finire vorrei dire che essere al 100% indipendenti è stato molto difficile, ma con una forte volontà è possibile farcela, e ottenere anche di più, al momento abbiamo realizzato una produzione e il prossimo materiale sarà composto presto. Aspettatevi niente di meno che un titano, da questa band, e restate in attesa di migliori e potenti consegne. Precaria è un'arma, il Black Metal è solo la confezione, i proiettili sono il nostro messaggio.

1) Hello and welcome here! Let's introduce yourself!

Thanks for contacting me Lunaria, I am the main man behind Precaria, for which I use the pseudonym Hermit Ov Tehom.


2) It's an enchanting monicker "Precaria"...In English it means "uncertain, precariousness"; Why have you chosen it? In Italian language we call as "Precaria" something unsafe. The work, for example, is "precario". The life is precaria too...

The name was chosen with a symbolic meaning. In Spanish (the original language used) it refers to the poorest degree of living, plain misery, the lowest level of life conditions with everything it involves, from poverty and lacking what's necessary to live to constant violence for the struggle to prevail... This crude literal meaning inspired me to represent the word Precaria as the exact equivalent on the spiritual realm, resembling the forceful descent to the darkest depths of the ego (or the I) as a mean to eradicate your own 'humanity' so you are able to ascend to the true self.


3) Before speaking about the full-length "Precaria Ex Humanitas", could you speak about the biography of your project? First steps and demos and so on...

The band as a concept was conceived long ago, the songs and artwork of the only demo were made in 2004 but couldn't be released, the drummer wasn't very available and later he simply abandoned the project so we also didn't manage to record or play live, ever. There was a period of 0 activity in which I gave up the idea of the band, there were several projects coming up though. One of them a personal project called Desesperanza, but there was always the same problem: no drummer who wanted to take something seriously. On 2010 I met Opposus Discordia and he became very interested on the idea of Precaria, we began official activities, live and in studio, recording the pending demo songs right away and starting the production of the full-length. The old demo was released until 2013 (has the same old artwork meant for it) and almost immediately after that, 2 members joined (also by voluntary desire), but they could be considered as live members because they don't record in the studio nor compose for the band. There is more material being recorded, but it will take the necessary time to be unveiled, as it needs to be delivered as optimal as it can be (musically, visually and production-wise).


4) You play a very hateful and wrathful style of Black Metal. Can you speak about "Precaria Ex Humanitas"? I really love the cover artwork. Those hangmen in that ancient temple, with all the deep red as a background... it's really anguished, distressing. If I look at this image, I think about the "Red Death", too. It feels like a pest-scenery.

Precaria Ex Humanitas is a full concept release, the songs on this album represent a wide variety of things that were written throughout the years, the lyrical tone is indeed very hateful, it attacks directly the foundations of mankind and their herd/sheep mentality, it attacks the imposed right hand path and organized religions; it even has a song that talks from the perspective of a criminal, being forced to commit atrocities because of the poor and limited way of living in the country, all caused by the corrupt system. It also touches the morbid necessity to suffer and make suffer, and the fall into complete mental madness. The last piece is a prayer for the damnation of humanity and their eventual condemnation to misery. The lyrics are vastly charged with a substance that is more like a mortal venom, and musically its meticulously arranged to bring a feeling of oppression to the user (the listener). Now about the graphics, I needed to work with someone that had the ability to represent the proper idea into a well suited artwork, as expensive as it was, Antithesis218 of Cold Posion did the job, and what a good job... I contacted him since mid or early 2013, however as the production left me pretty much bankrupt, it was until november or december that we started to work on the art on full, he periodically sent me the ideas and I was very pleased on how well he projected the idea, there was not much to correct, and the final result seems to be one of those artworks that if you see it, you never forget it. I would definitely work with him again, very professional and gifted, and now after working with bands such as Nightbringer and Acherontas, he is gaining a well known graphic artist name among bands. Conceptually the front cover visual art represents the destruction of the church and the hanging of it's believers, denoting a clear aversion towards them. In the back of the booklet and the rear of the jewel case, or the tray out, you can see clear references to death worship. Death is the only way...


5) I have seen your facebook. You call god the Demiurge. So, I'd like to know more about your religious and philosophical ideas. Anyway, I'm totally agree with you about hating the church!

Yes, the demiurge is the false god, the creator of our material/physical plane, the false and deceiving light... However, one would ask about why am I against religions yet being theistic. At first I was an atheist with very nihilistic views, I'll not hide it, but things happened that began to reveal slowly what lies 'beyond the veil'. I don't see this 'false light' as the christian god, -that would make me a christian-, nor as the muslim god, or as any other in particular, I believe all these religions are expressing the same concept regardless of 'its' name, and they are worshipping this one false god that hides behind a creation full of lies. To him is to whom I declare my campaign against, and my entire existence is meant to act as a war to malform this erratic creation while I am locked up in this cage of flesh (body) that some call 'temple'; the real temple is in your mind. We are made in 'his' image, therefore we are an aberration. We are full of weaknesses. If we were created by a 'perfect god', we would be perfect: we would be directly as one with chaos. Some of us aren't that human at all (inside), for me, I am just a virus planted on a world of aliens. Why virus? Because I am the agent of change, that infinitesimal particle which causes the process of 'nigredo' that envenoms with the poison of Samael; those who have reached the proper understanding will know what this symbolizes. Why aliens? Because they are a completely different and unfamiliar race to me, we don't share anything apart from our human bodies which are transitory. Some are meant to be sheep, few aren't. And this minority has to leave a mark on this world, and prepare for what comes after, this is the so called struggle to descend into the depths of the one and use your life to prepare yourself to ascend and transcend. I act as a weapon against the cosmos and everything which it wields and represents. You may imagine the way I live... I'm in complete isolation and everything has been damn hard and I don't expect it to be less hard, if not, to get much harder. This is how it is for the few that choose to forge their own black path, that's why no one does it. This probably tells you why I chose the first word of my pseudonym... I could write a long wall of text describing all my views and the reasons for them but it would become a tiring read for the purpose of the interview... At least, now you have some clue about the heavy spiritual philosophy surrounding Precaria.


6) You have already played live... could you speak about this experience?

At first and for 3 years we played as a duo, now we have some time playing as a full live band. We channel the dark energies in the scenario, and project a very ominous atmosphere. The public often reacts differently towards Precaria, some of them just want to be head-banging with old-school type of beats so they find it distressing, then there are the contemplative ones that pay attention to the music and what it is expressing and do head-bang on rhythmic parts but mostly just feel the essence being transmitted and enjoy the blast-beating, violent delivery. As common, we've been through different things such as an occasion with less than 15 people present on the gig or lame organizers who have exchanged the participation of the band for the band of their 'friends'. Yeah, this is what you get from them. Sometimes it seems that the local scene becomes your enemy even if the assistants want to see your band, there is a lot of selfishness running through the air here. We have opened to some mainstream bands that come to the country now and then, I remember that one of the members of a band of 2 words (one beginning with 'n' and the second word beginning with 'd') was standing in front of me like a statue when I was performing, just before they played, I was confused because he seemed to not believe what was going on and had this strange 'wtf' face, maybe the guys don't run too often into bands with this essence or he was seeing the devil behind my back, lol, I don't know... To close this answer I will say that playing live its not just for the sake of doing so, but it stands as a ritual to channel the anti-cosmic force emanating from our manifestation and cast it to the terrestrial plane.


7) Can you suggest us some names of Black Metal bands from Mexico or South America? Its nice supporting bands!

From Mexico I can strongly suggest Andramelech, they got more known since Daemon Worship released a split between them and Serpent Noir and I am sure the next material that will come out will be outstanding. From South America I can recommend Ignis Haereticum, Gexerott, Animus Mortis, Selbst, LvxCælis, and Wrathprayer. They have all provided excellent quality material that deserves recognition.

Thanks, you'll see that one day Precaria will play there as the band grows more. To finish I would like to say that being 100% independent has been very hard but with a strong will it is possible and there is more to come, a production is being cooked right now and the next material after it is already being composed. Expect nothing less than a titan from this band and be awaiting for it's ever-improving powerful deliveries. Precaria is a weapon, black metal is just the package, the bullets are our message.
